Partnership Meeting in Orkney Islands
On June 18th-19th the Orkney Islands Council (OIC), partner in DUAL Ports, will host the fourth partnership meeting in the project.
The meeting will take place in Kirkwall, Scotland, where focus will be on developments in the project, and a visit to see how hydrogen is used in the port.

Monday – June 18th– Day one:

Hrs. 09:00 Welcome to Orkney Presentation of Orkney Harbors. Brian Archibald, Harbour Master and Head of Orkney Marine Services.
Hrs. 09:30 Partnership meeting at Port offices.
Hrs. 12:00 Presentation on the Surf-n- Turf and BIG HIT hydrogen: Presenters Mark Hull and Ailsa Skuodas from Community Energy Scotland (CES)
Hrs. 13:00 Buffet Lunch at Port Offices
Hrs. 13:45 Board the Bus for Kirkwall Harbour and visit the Hydrogen fuel cell site. Presented by Mark Hull and Ailsa Skuodas of CES. Presentation of standard Harbours Marine Vessel electrical connections (small scale cold ironing!) DH.
Hrs. 14:30 Board the Bus to the Hydrogen Vehicle refueling station and a demonstration of a Hydrogen Vehicle refueling operation.
Hrs. 15:15 Board the Bus to Kirkwall Hatston pier, visit to tidal machines on site
Hrs. 15:50 Board the bus to Highland Park Distillery for optional tours commencing 1600 (£10 or £20 per person)
Hrs. 17:15 Return to Hotel Kirkwall
Hrs. 19:00 Dinner at Hotel Kirkwall
Tuesday – June 19th– Day two:
Hrs. 08:30 Bus from Hotel Kirkwall to Port offices
Hrs. 09:00 Marine Environmental Unit Work, including monitoring of invasive and non-native marine species and ballast water policy. Presented by Jenni Kakkonen of Orkney Marine Services.

Hrs. 11:40 Presentation on larger scale cold ironing and the proposed Low Carbon Travel Hub at Stromness Harbours-DH
Hrs. 12:00 Buffet Lunch at Port offices
Hrs. 12:45 Board the Bus to Stromness Harbor (30-minute journey)
Hrs. 13:15 Visit the low carbon travel and cold ironing site
Hrs. 13:50 Walk or board the bus to the EMEC office in Stromness.
Hrs. 14:00 Presentation of the EMEC activities and integration with harbours infrastructure. Neil Kermode
Hrs. 15:00 Bus to EMEC and a presentation of the Wave Test site then return to Stromness. Presentation: EMEC TBA.
Hrs. 16:00 Orkney College Marine School, Stromness. Presentation by Mark Shiner on the Hydrogen handling and training developed for Ship, Shore and looking forward to ships operational crews.

Wednesday – June 20th
Hrs. 08:15 Depart Kirkwall to Shapinsay island, arrive 0845, to visit 1MW Electrolyser site. Presentation by ITM.
Hrs. 10:30 Depart Shapinsay Island to Kirkwall arrive 1100.
Hrs. 11:10 Orkney Ferries office opposite Kirkwall Hotel. Presentation on Hydrogen Ferry projects Hyseas III and HyDIME and options for bunkering facilities.
